Introducing UD Mobile for Android
UD Mobile Thrives On Nodes!
We developed UD Mobile from the ground up to not only integrate with your Z-Wave, INSTEON, X10 devices, but also to integrate with all your ISY’s node servers. Yes! Using UD Mobile, you can now monitor and control your Ecobee, Hue, Ring, Tesla, Solar Edge, Sonos, Lutron, Harmony Hub, ELK, all the climate services, etc.
In addition, and thanks to our very active, enthusiastic, and ingenious developer community, we are now at 100 full featured Polys (Node Servers) including Lutron (Radio RA and Caseta), Camect, ELK, and many more climate services.
To celebrate, for a limited time, get 20% discount on Polisy and Polisy PRO.
Lutron
Whether you want to integration with Lutron Shades or contemplating and upgrade to a more professional lighting solution, this node server is for you. You can integrate pretty much any Lutron device/sensor limited only to your Lutron system (Radio RA vs. Caseta).
camect
Say what? camect is an AI based, local and private camera recording and monitoring hub. It can detect such things as people, faces, deliveries, insects, animals, wind, etc. With this node server, you can automate what should happen based on what the camect detects.
This very nice video by Steve Lee captures the essence.
ELK
This node server makes ELK zones, inputs, and outputs as native ISY nodes. Combine with camect, and make Fort Knox jealous!
Prerequisites:
- UD Mobile requires firmware version 5.3.1 or higher
- You will need a Polisy or Polyglot (on RPi) for node servers
20% Discount for Polisy and Polisy PRO
Please use coupon code Z9F44G4R at checkout. Expires on 01/31/2021.

Is there any way to use this without continuing to use the internet? It would nice to be able to control things when the internet connection is down.

This new app is fantastic! Nice work guys!
I’ve always felt like a second class citizen on the old MobileLinc Pro app with poor Android support (my Z-Wave thermostats show 720F in MobileLinc!) and their shift to a subscription model that I didn’t need.
My only suggestion would be to allow multi-select of nodes to mass-move them to the various destination folders. I have >75 devices and it is kind of a pain to set things up initially. No big deal as it is a one-time setup thing. I get it that you need to select the status to display for each one.

Hi Frank, yes of course. It works locally as well as through the ISY Portal.
With kind regards,

Michael, I am very much looking forward to the iOS version.
I have been stuck on the sidelines unable to get Java going on three MACs & PCs, every browser blocks it, iOS apps went defunct, … ( try to read and reply here, it seems my profile is blank, ISY missing, etc … ? )
Anyhow, best news I have heard in a while.
I may actually find a used Android phone or tablet to try this out.

I never cared for Mobilinc either.
Very nice app. Well done everyone involved.
The most reliable electronic devices I have ever owned are the ISY’s that have worked flawlessly for me for many years.

I can’t access the Elk module in the ISY994 with UD mobile, do I need polisy, and what happens to the Elk module in the ISY994?

Well done! It seems speedy, and will be great not to need the udajax web version anymore. That one had tons of perf issues doing refreshes.
For udajax, I prefixed things with ~ to hide them from the interface. Could we have something like this too for the new app?
Thanks again for the app – awesome work!

Hi Steve,
UD Mobile only works with node servers and does not support any of ISY Modules. If you already have the ELK module, we can give you additional $45.00 discount to move to Polisy.

Hi Michel,
This looks and sounds awesome, but unfortunately I married iOS so I’ll have to wait.
So will this app and the iOS variant be completely free to download and use?
If so I can’t see a reason why I would keep paying for MobiLinc.

Hi Jesse,
IOS is coming shortly. To answer your questions:
1. Basic features (command/control of your ISY/Polisy devices) will always be free no matter how many nodes you have
2. Remote access using Port Forwarding will be free
3. Remote access using ISY Portal requires ISY Portal subscription (nothing new here)
4. We “might” add additional in-app purchases (above and beyond the above) but, at the moment, our focus is to get IOS out
With kind regards,
Michel

Hi Michel,
Any chance there is a Network Resource Module in the works for Polisy to replace the ISY version so it would work with the Mobile app?
Thanks!

Hi Robert,
Currently you cannot hide nodes. This said, if you use the Favorites, you can pretty much display whatever you wish.

Nice! Just installed it in about 2 minutes and have poked most of the buttons. Looks like everything is there, thanks. Now I have to poke the rest of the buttons…Is there any documentation?

Sounds great! Will iOS version support geofencing?
Universal Devices
January 15, 2021 @ 3:39 pm
Hi Scot,
Eventually both will support geo fencing. This said, geo fencing will require ISY Portal (need a public cloud end point).

Michel

I wish I could use it. It requires 5.0.16. But I cannot upgrade to that version with my ISY994i Pro because the ZWave module isn’t supported. And if I understand correctly, even if I purchase an updated Module I should probably rebuild all of my ZWave devices from scratch. Am I misunderstanding any of this? If I’m not, then I can’t imagine making the expense of the hardware and time commitment. Anyone willing to talk me off the ledge?

Hi Sal,
How many Z-Wave devices you have? Firmware version 5.3.1 fixed the backup/restore issue so you should be able to restore your Z-Wave backup into 5.3.1.
With kind regards,
Michel

I have 13 ZWave devices last I recall. So I would still need to purchase a new ZWave module and I should be able to restore the ZWave backup and then restore the ISY backup, or vice-versa? I also have a base model ISY994i. Is there a part number to purchase the new ZWave module for that and then restore onto that one without taking down my existing ISY? I don’t want to risk losing my existing functionality for any length of time. Thanks!
